Chinese phone brand Honor denied online claims that CEO Zhao Ming has resigned on Passion's Peak (2002)Wednesday, calling them false news. Recently, a blogger, @Classmate Dabing, alleged on the Chinese social platform Weibo that Zhao had resigned along with the entire Magic7 smartphone team. Since 2015, Zhao has led the Honor team, which was initially part of Huawei. Zhao remained CEO after Honor’s split from Huawei in late 2020 due to US sanctions. In December 2024, Honor completed its equity restructuring and is gearing up for a domestic IPO. [IThome, in Chinese]
