The action figure's release will be accompanied by a comic book run from IDW in which the two famed '80s brands cross over. The story follows Marty as he evades the Decepticons, who have caught wind of Doc's time machine. But since Marty's just a puny human, he'll need some help. It comes in the form of this new Autobot, Gigawatt.

The limited series from IDW is set to run for four issues. You can check out the first issue's cover below, along with a nifty recreation of the original Back to the Futureposter, but with Gigawatt replacing Marty.

The limited edition version of Gigawatt – of which only 1,985 numbered boxes will be released – is available for pre-order on Walmart's website starting at 1:00 p.m. ET on July 2. Don't worry if you miss your chance, though; another version of Gigawatt is coming to HasbroPulse.com plus "select retailers" on Oct. 1, 2020, which is also the same day the first issue of the comic releases.
